Garage Door Gates

Question:
Do we know for sure that it was only a couple of feet high? OJ admitted to Petrocelli that the garage door was not a usual way of entry. Even if OJ's later description of the situation is correct, it is still quite possible that he was on the way to the pool door and only realized later that he could have avoided his accident by going in through the garage.

You no-j's hae him doing everything but the Irish jig back there on the path, and thinking subtly enough to figure out the Grand Unified Theory at one moment, but too out of it make use of his house key the next.
Not to mention not circling the block and coming in through the "secret" tennis court path. And I would still like to know why he would, IN THE
DARK, stop, turn around, and close two gates, including one that was broken off its hinges.

Answer:
Park was at the gate with a good view of the driveway and the front door entranceway. Park saw no one but OJ heading to the entrance, and Kato coming around the pool side walkway. This was a few minutes after the thumps. Kato was coming around the side of the house closest to Park within minutes after the thumps. Kato only saw Park and no one else.
OJ was on the other side of the house where the walkway is when the thumps occurred - Park saw him (OJ admitted it was him) head towards the entrance within a few minutes of the thumps according to Kato. If Oj was there as he said he was and as Park saw, whatever caused the thumps did not go out the front. There was no indication that whoever caused the thumps went out the back. Park never saw OJ exit the house.
