Question:
I've just drowned the LiftMaster garage door opener.
I assume I need to buy a replacement. Preferably waterproof.
Is there such a beast?
I assume I would need a garage door company to program the remote control?
Answer:
Have seen this work many times with auto alarm remotes, etc. they fell
into toilets, puddles next to the cars, etc, they would not work the
reason water get into the interior and make contact with other elect.
parts inside, open the opener and remove battery, put underr faucet and
flush with plain tap water, shake most of water out and take hair dryer
and try to dry area, after you know it is dry, put battery back in and
you migh have to reprogram it, not familar with your remote system.
it should work after this.
