Question:
I just read the 'Garage Smoking' thread and wondered if any of you have
tried one of those 'construction site' propane heaters that supposedly can
be used inside or outside (some clearly disclaim to be used only outside or
with 'ventilation' - which kind of defeats the purpose.)
I have used the fuel oil powered jet heaters in the past, but the fumes
(even with 'ventilation') destroy the air for any piping use.
A number of local eateries use a form of propane radiant heater units on
their outside decks and these seem to work pretty well.
Answer:
I use a "Mr. Heater" (garage propane heater) which is a little dish like gizmo
that mounts on my spare propane tank, and I set my lawn chair in front of.
It heats fairly well, no fumes, and it brings me back to that hissing "coleman
lantern" sound of my Boy Scout camping days.
